This was in the wake of World War II, as the United States was inheriting the British Empire. Corporate liberals will never admit this on television, because that means we're as evil as the 2nd most evil empire in world history. John Mearsheimer is a liberal, of course, writ large, but also realist (so an anti-neocon) and kind of a writ small conventional conservative. He wants American foreign policy reoriented towards containing China, which I regard as foolish. That cat's out of the bag and it belongs on top. He's critical of Israel mostly because he thinks it's a waste of time and a strategic liability. He's also right about that. He doesn't often come right out and say it, but he probably also resents the likes of Miriam Adelson & Co. manipulating what he regards as his foreign policy. He's America First on that, as am I. He's probably a Kissingerian in orientation, whom I loathe, another practitioner of realism, like James Baker and Obama. Just cold power concepts, no passionate attachments. These would have been notions familiar to the Founders, all the way through John Quincy Adams as Secretary of State, before the Empire leapt the Mississippi. He hates the neocons and the holds in contempt the liberal 'humanitarian interventionists' like Samantha Power and Hitlery Clinton and the rest of the bullshit liberal imperialists phonies. As I do. They're just neocons with different branding. They're a part of what Obama's leading foreign policy adiviser Ben Rhodes accurately depicts simply as 'the blob', the bloated DC cocksucking foreign policy aparatus. The ones who have helped undermine our country and bled it dry on stupid, corrupt adventurism from their perches at Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, American University and all of the rest of that malevolent running dog filth. So, John's going to say some real shit about Israel, which some of you know something about already, but you're apt to learn something. I minored in Modern Middle Eastern history in undergrad and have paid very close attention in the meantime. I've often shocked at how ignorant even smart people can be on this issue. I tolerate a differing point of view on it, but I reject Zionism in toto. I strive 0ne day soon simply to respond when asked what I think of Israel: 'I don't think of it'. The Israelis are the baddies now and frankly, I'm enjoying the turn of the screw. I've long regarded Israel as morally inferior to George Wallace's Alabama and F.W. DeKlerk's South Africa. After October 7th, Israel today is the 2nd closest analogue to Nazi Germany since World War II. Worse than Milosevic by far. Not as bad as Pol Pot, yet. So, they're not exactly in great company. What makes me want to kill is a New York Times or MSNBC or CBS limousine liberal lecturing me that I'm a Jew-hater for opposing genocide. Fuck you, forever, and your fake news time is already over, you just don't know it yet. Half of the human beings in Gaza are children and if you have no compassion for them then you are a moral leper. You are the moral equivalent of Heydrich, who laughed at the notion of having compassion for not just Jewish children, but Slavic ones, to boot. 'A Pole is a slave. It is enough for him to count to ten and to serve our Kultur... If a hundred or a thousand Slavs die digging a tank trap for Germany, all that matters is that the tank trap was dug'. Zionism is Jewish Supremacism and I detest every form of exclusivism and racism bzw religious chauvanism, whatever you want to call it. Either you believe that die Würde des Menschen ist unantastbar. Or you don't. Either you believe that certain inalienable rights are given by our creator, or you don't. There is no middle ground here. It is a 'yes' or 'no' matter. The Zionists and the Israelis say no. Decent people reared on democratic principles derived from Spinoza, among others, say yes. And furthermore, the Hamas and Hezbollah fighters are heroes to their own people for a damn good reason. Any guesses? It is because they are fighting for their dignity and THEIR 'right to exist'. The final though is this, to the Germans and to the Americans: do you really want to be implicated in genocide. The leading scholars of genocide operate under and overwhelming consensus, consistent with the UN charter and international law: Israel is a genocidal state. Just listen to their leaders, they revel in genocidal Old Testament rhetoric. The Amalakites, kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out. This is barbarism dressed up in politically correct identity politics garbage. Woody Guthrie asked: which side are you on? Are you pro-genocide or pro-human rights. Are you pro-American Empire or are you pro-humanity. Are you a rhetorical concentration camp guard or in solidarity with the victims? The left was always right on Israel. The Paleocon right was always right on Israel, if sometimes for the wrong reasons. The young in America are so donezo with Israel, it's not even funny. Rank and file liberals and conservatives are tired of Israel and its busy body Zionist apologists honeycombed throughout the media and Congress. It's like a one party state in American corporate media. Not because of Jews or their Christian Zionist protégés, but because it serves power interests, who themselves probably, in the end, will dump Zionism when it becomes to obvious a liability to The Companies. Israel will not be a Jewish state in 120 odd years, which is the amount of time it would need to continue to persist in it's present configuration to match the duration of the Crusader States. Saladhin vanquished them once foreign sponsorship tired of a misconceived boondoggle. If I had to lay odds, Khamenei Jr. may just end up playing that very role. Grow up, liberal. Onward and upward back to Welfare Liberalism and then social democracy! We'll cross the bridge to the Räterepublik once we simply get back to what Reagan ripped off, if we ever do.
